Bootleg LP covers created by more than 80 artists will be on display May 19-21 at 1301PE, located at 6150 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90048. Join SASSAS and 1301PE in thanking the artists for their support of SASSAS programming at an artist's reception on Thursday May 19 from 6 to 9 p.m.
Pre-bidding via the SASSAS website starts May 10 and the auction culminates at Blast! on Sunday May 22. Bidders will be able to access the auction online starting May 10 and continue bidding until the final gavel at 7pm on May 22.

Bootleg LP Auction Redux reprises the highly successful 2015 Bootleg LP Auction which netted $20,000 for the organization. The project takes inspiration from countercultural bootleg recordings and underground handmade cover art reinterpretations. Invited artists work the 12.25" x 12.25" square of the album cover as medium. In 2015 the works took multiple forms: original works on a blank covers, alterations of existing albums, fake discs, and complete reworks with front, back and inside covers labels and inserts. More than 80 artists are participating in this year's edition. Works will be on display to the public in a special preview at 1301PE Gallery located at 6150 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90048 from May 19-21, with an artist's reception on Thursday May 19 from 6 to 9 p.m. Pre-bidding via the SASSAS website starts May 10 and the auction culminates at Blast! on Sunday May 22.
